In the Book of Daniel, Ashpenaz was not a prophet, a priest, or a king. He was a palace official, a gatekeeper to influence. When Nebuchadnezzar sought the brightest minds from Israel, it was Ashpenaz who selected Daniel and his companions. But he did more than choose them. He nurtured them, protected their convictions, and positioned them for greatness.
Daniel had wisdom. Ashpenaz gave him access.
Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah had integrity. Ashpenaz gave them visibility.
Today, many gifted individuals remain unseen not because they lack brilliance, but because they lack an Ashpenaz, someone who sees their potential and opens the door.
