The world is demanding more protagonists for it to be a better place. Everyone is born into a world full of activity. All that we see were once ideas in other people’s minds. They, at some point, chose to act on the ideas and produced substance, i.e all that we see today.
*_Nothing can be seen if nothing is done._* At least do something. What will your children know you for? Queuing for your meagre salary at Post Office Savings Bank for three days while they wait for you in a mealie meal queue?
All those who have chosen to do exploits are living life at some level. They are a type that is always ahead of the game. They would rather import maize for their milling company to improve availability than to stand in ewe and complain about how and why things happen the way they do.
Corazon Aquino once said, _“I would rather die a meaningful death than to live a meaningless life.”_
Most of us are living mediocre lives. Lives robbed of meaning. We choose to be followers rather than leaders. Where you find yourself at is as a result of the choices you make.
*_We’re living in the days where performance alone gets the second price, but those who exhibit phenomenal performance get the first price._*
Life is not all about doing the right thing but how you do it.
They all write the exam at school and use the same eversharp pen to put answers on the answer scripts. However, only those who consistently give the correct answers get the prize.
How many jobless degreed people do we have in Zimbabwe? Plenty. I think the type of education that we’re providing in our universities is imprisoning instead of liberating them.
Most of these young graduates are just clueless. You can’t engage in a meaningful debate with them. If you are one of them, please be different.
_It is never too late to be what you might have been as said by George Eliot._ Just put on the right mental attitude and you’re good to go. A good number of people in life end up in great trouble because they always want to start from where they are not. You have to start whatever from where you are and move forward.
Don’t be reserved for nothing. You’re not born to stagnate but to grow. _A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for_ -William G.T. Shedd. You’re created to do exploits. To have dominion over everything. Why then do you alway hit below the belt?
It is not bad, at some point in life, to be in someone’s dream, making it manifest. It becomes a different ball game if you choose to be there forever. Terry Pratchett had it on good record that, _“If you don’t turn your life into a story, you just become a part of someone else’s story”._
Jacob got to a point where he told Laban that it was time for him to own his own flock. You just need to become restless at some point and shake off the yoke on your neck, turn it into a gold field and start digging for yourself.
László Bíró, a Hungarian Argentine newspaper editor frustrated by the amount of time that he wasted filling up fountain pens and cleaning up smudged pages, noticed that inks used in newspaper printing dried quickly, leaving the paper dry and smudge free. He then decided to create a pen using the same type of ink.
Biro enlisted the help of his brother György, a chemist, to develop viscous ink formulae for new ballpoint designs. That’s where the word ball point came from. We popularised it as biro in the Shona language. These are great exploits from the Biro brothers. What are you doing on that front?
We see things not working the way they should, we file reports and complain. László Bíró didn’t complain about the fountain pen. Instead, he invented the biro pen that we’re using to date.
If we all do what we were created to do, the world would become a better place.
